A Coffee Passion I Wanted to Share
I fell into coffee, got tired of scattered learning, and started building BrewPath to help other enthusiasts feel guided from the beginning.
A couple of years ago, I became obsessed with coffee.
What started as simple curiosity quickly turned into something much bigger. I tried different coffee apps, read books, watched videos, saved brew references, and kept looking for a way to learn that actually felt clear and structured.
But nothing really clicked.
There was plenty of useful information, but it often felt scattered. One app helped with recipes, another with logging, another with timing. Books taught a lot, but turning that knowledge into a practical, organized learning path was still hard. Instead of feeling guided, I often felt disoriented.
Last year, I decided to take it more seriously. I finished barista training, got my certificate, and bought my own espresso machine — Profitec GO.
That made me realize even more clearly what was missing.
I think coffee enthusiasts need a better way to start their journey — one that feels more organized, practical, and motivating from the beginning. Something that helps people build understanding step by step, instead of jumping between disconnected tools and information.
At some point, I stopped wanting to keep that curiosity only for myself. Coffee had become something I genuinely cared about, and I wanted to turn what I was learning into something other people could use too.
That is why I started building Coffee Quest.
That was the working name, and I still like what it captures: the feeling of being on a guided quest through coffee instead of standing in front of a pile of disconnected tips.
As the app takes shape, I am moving the customer-facing name to BrewPath. Coffee Quest is where the idea started. BrewPath is the name I want people to find when the app is ready.
BrewPath is my attempt to share the coffee journey I wish I had at the beginning: structured, practical, and encouraging without making the craft feel intimidating.
This is still early, but it matters to me. I want BrewPath to become a small, useful way to share the coffee passion that changed how I spend my time, what I read, what I practice, and what I keep wanting to understand better.
